    YL

The last thing the world needs is an arrogant, self-centered, cocky, guy with a great sense of humor and good looks! When Y.L. realized that, he changed, "except for that good looks part." But he knew he couldn't do it on his own, so he teamed up with the best partner he knew; GOD. Ever since then his life has turned, and for the better!

Born in Egypt and raised in Venice California, this son of one of the best immigrant stories ever told loves to snowboard, wakeboard, 4wheel with his baby (A ROCKEN JEEP WRANGLER that NOBODY gets to drive) AND his favorite sport, jet skiing. If we tell you he is an avid exotic car enthusiast that would be an understatement.

By seven years old he proved to himself and his classmates he was an successful entrepreneur. From then, it was onto numerous ventures; a car detailing business before he could drive, a degree in real estate development as well as building his own projects , owning one of the most famous delicatessens in West Los Angeles. Which he just sold to "rally " JoyRide to the maximum.

Never forgetting his roots Y.L. loves to help. The poor, lost, hungry, and has a special fondness for those new Americans with little or no English. He took his first mission trip to Rancho de sus Ninos in Mexico. This orphanage was full of incredible children that left a mark on his heart and he returned numerous times. Vowing to help those in the world that are hurting, he has not stopped since. When the opportunity came up for Y.L. to go on a mission trip to the far side of Africa, guess what he did? Yep you're right, now he is on a plane to Malawi, the fifth poorest country in the world. He couldn't wait to get there to help, give, & bless the warm hearted people in the bush of Malawi. (they have nothing !!!!!!) The people he came in contact with "Rocked His World!" Ask him yourself (he likes talking about it) he will tell you they blessed him more than he blessed them. The true desire of his heart is that we Americans unite with the poor of the U.S. and the World so that all of us can be part of the SOLUTION.

Hmmmm Loves cars, loves helping as we now know. Hmmmm THAT'S IT ! ! ! JoyRideRally is now born. A Robin hood style road rally across America. By invite only. For the first time in history fifty exotic automobile owners and their guest come rally with us for the most incredible VACATION STYLE ROAD TRIP EVER, all the while donating to great causes. This year JoyRide is partnering with The Salvation Army to donate $1000.00 from each driver to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Fifty drivers equals $50,000. And now we are ALL on our way to being part of the solution.

Why vacation style rally? Our objective is NOT to drive 900 miles per day this is defiantly NOT an endurance style rally. Its not "who can get the least amount of sleep in 7 days " (but you can win a trophy for that). Its all about how much adrenaline, backrubs, foot messages, laughter and enJOYment you can have while STILL donating to great causes. We ALL want to enjoy our cars and our country. So Y.L. just created a way for ALL of us to just that & and STILL help the world!

    DON'T PUT OFF JOY!
    DON'T PUT OFF THE RALLY!
DON'T PUT OFF BEING "PART OF THE SOLUTION" ! ! !
    YOU ARE PERSONALLY INVITED

    Dean

Dean's fascination with cars started with his first, a 1965 Mustang. Over the years he's owned over ten Mustangs, including a 1966 GT Fastback. He custom built this car to flat out move, and it topped 140mph. He once made it from LAX to Vegas in the time it takes a small plane.

Born in Hollywood (we all know that can't be good), he's spent his entire life in the Los Angeles basin, and Manhattan Beach in particular. He's a graduate of Mira Costa High School, where surfing at lunch is common. All his best friends come from that time on the beach, and friends like that have lasted him a lifetime.

He also met the love of his life, Sherrie, during this time. They have been together since 1982 and have a son (Joseph 11) born on 4th of July. So he’s as all American (athletic, fast cars to come) as you can get!

Long distance trips are a common event for this family. Joseph is often heard (urging) from the back seat ‘are we there yet’ or ‘go faster papa’. You know a 22 hour trip from L.A to Oklahoma non-stop can be quite an experience (“family bonding time to the max”) for all of us.

Other car enthusiasms include classic Bronco's, which of course make the best rock crawlers. Ask him to show you pictures of Moab, there's not much between him and the ground. With two broken axels and two broken drive shafts you'd think it was a tow down the hill, but Dean 'MacGiver' had spares, and the help, to put it all together. His pride and joy is a 1976 Bronco in perfect condition with 33k original miles. That one doesn't rock crawl… He likes Ferraris too…

Dean has an accounting degree in management information systems and started a career in business. He's spent the last 20 years doing productivity consulting with businesses across America. He servers as JoyRideRally's CFO with pleasure.

Love makes the world go round, that’s the way it was designed. ‘Someone’ once said that working towards clarity involves, ‘faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love’. I agree. You can check it out for yourself in I Corinthians 13.
